Congratulations to Giuseppe Piluso and the Milan PUG on winning the March challenge of the month. They have won two complimentary tickets to the upcoming Data & BI Summit in Dublin, Ireland. We spent some time with Giuseppe to learn more about this new user group and what their plans are for 2018.
What has been the most exciting thing for your PUG in the last few months?
When I built the Milan' PUG, I was worried about the number of people interested in the PUG.
But after talking about the idea with colleagues and several professionals, I received only words of encouragement, so I decided to start this journey.
It was amazing to see how many people are interested in PowerBI and would like to be part of a community that connect people with the same passion.
What makes your group successful?
We are starting, and planning our first meeting, there appears to be great interest in the group already. We will work hard to make the group successful.
We have a right mix of people for great results. The PUG has real Analytics experts along with new joiners but the common thread is enthusiasm and passion about data.
Tell us about your plans for 2018?
2018 will be our first year. We are like a baby so we will learn to walk in this year.
Maybe we will fall down sometimes but I am sure we will learn a lot of lessons and we get up every time.
We have great plan: take our first in-person meeting, set-up a periodical event that will be the a reference for our community, become the first place where ask for help regarding PowerBI.
Therefore, these are great challenges but we can met taking them on jointly.
