    Reminds me of the time about 20 years ago when I went out with a couple of my lady-coworkers. My boyfriend at the time (who was also good friends with the ladies involved) was terribly curious what we talked about.

    "The usual girl talk: cars, sports, and investing."

    It was true.

    My Power BI dress is difficult, because someone wants me to add bell sleeves and a peplum, but I want pockets!

    Dresses with functional (NOT merely decorative! smh, why???) pockets are the best!!


    Everything else is optional, definitely add the pockets!!

    I always add pockets to the dresses I make - they aren't an option. Fake pockets drive me insane because why go through all the effort to stitch in a pocket opening without including the most important part?

    People have a lot of feelings when it comes to pockets. In short: They are only when you have them and only when they are large enough to stuff anything you want inside of them. A snack? A phone? A condom? All of that should be able to fit in fashion's favorite hidden compartments.

    I've attached a photo of my Power BI dress. Yes, it has pockets (note hands stuffed in very large, useful pockets - I can stuff a water bottle into each pocket, though I wouldn't do that normally, it is possible to do so).
