    DAX for "ThisExists"

    YTBtrue = CALCULATE(COUNTROWS(YTB), FILTER (YTB, YTB[YouthID] = EARLIER(Members[YouthID]) ) ) > 0

    In this DAX, YTB refers to a data table that includes entries for youth participating in a community practice called 'YTB'.  The youth are identified by their youthID.  Another data table includes data for all youth enrolled with a community organization.  Some of these youth participate in YTB.  The DAX above for "YTBtrue" is a column that is added in Power BI desktop to the primary data table or query in the Fields panel (right-most panel) in the Report mode (or canvas) of Power BI Desktop. The purpose of this DAX is to return a value of True or False.  A value of True is returned if the YouthID exists in the YTB data table as well as the data table for all of the Members.  Otherwise a value of False is returned.

    The DAX for "IsTrue" is useful for creating exception reports.  Organizations use this DAX to identify which enrollees have not been visited, or for which no activity notes have been entered for the current week, or which individuals are not represented in some category.  Many times we know or have data to show what is occurring.  The DAX for "IsTrue" helps us to see what is not there.  The DAX can be named however you like: "IsTrue", "SometihngExists", "Missing", or your choice.
