    Hello everyone,

I have created simple Power BI report including 4 pages. the model contains 5 tables linked to SQL Server and the whole size not exceeding the 39 MB. Question : This report is slow to navigate and is very difficult to place the cards, move the charts and graphical charts around. It makes the work very hard and unbelievable.

N.B: my model has relationships both sides. Is this a reason of slow response time?

    Please help.

    Thank you.

    Hi @S B,

I think the slow navigation of cards and charts, is probably due to the configuration of the machine and has got nothing to do with the size of the PBI file.
Or you may have multiple windows/applications running/open at the same time, which is why PBI is not getting enough RAM.

If it was a matter of slicers working slow in filtering the report, then I would say that bi-directional relationships might be an issue.
However, either way, you should not really have Bi-directional relationships in your model as they produce unreliable numbers, unless you know what you are doing.

    So try to eliminate them.

    Hope this helps.

    Thank you,

    Hi @S B,

You can also use the newly Performance Analyzer (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/desktop-performance-analyzer) to see how much time each visual takes.
This can also identify what visual(s) are causing the delays you experience as each layout change of a visual will trigger a refresh/redraw event.

    Good luck, JP
