  • 1.  Splitting a Parameter URL

    Posted Jan 18, 2022 06:12 AM
    Hello.

    I am trying to refresh my report (within a Premium Workspace) and i am receiving this error : This dataset includes a dynamic data source. Since dynamic data sources aren't refreshed in the Power BI service, this dataset won't be refreshed. Learn more: Data refresh in Power BI - Power BI.

    From looking online, it appears the URL i am supplying as a parameter need to be broken up into a relative URL.

    I am supplying the following URL (paramater name is Server) : powerbi://api.powerbi.com/v1.0/myorg/My%20Premium%20Workspace
    and the following dataset (Parameter name is fxCatalogName): MyDataset

    My Query is calling this parameter as below :

    let
    Columns = AnalysisServices.Database(
    Server
    , fxCatalogName(Server)
    , [Query=
    "
    SELECT
    DIMENSION_NAME AS TABLE_NAME,
    COLUMN_ID AS COLUMN_ID,
    ATTRIBUTE_NAME AS COLUMN_NAME,
    DATATYPE AS [Data Type],
    DICTIONARY_SIZE AS DICTIONARY_SIZE_BYTES,
    COLUMN_ENCODING AS COLUMN_ENCODING_INT
    FROM $SYSTEM.DISCOVER_STORAGE_TABLE_COLUMNS
    WHERE COLUMN_TYPE = 'BASIC_DATA'
    "
    , Implementation="2.0"]
    ),
    #"Renamed Columns" = Table.RenameColumns(Columns,{{"COLUMN_NAME", "Column Name"}, {"TABLE_NAME", "Table Name"}})
    in
    #"Renamed Columns"

    I believe the issue is the third line down :

    Server
    , fxCatalogName(Server)

    How can I split it so the URL is relative so its something like : fxCatalogName(powerbi://api.powerbi.com = RelativeURL="v1.0/myorg/My%20Premium%20Workspace"

    Hope this makes sense
