    Does anyone know how to get data directly from Oracle Primavera?

    This will walk you through how to use an .xer file and a power query to view the data in Power BI.  This isn't a direct connection but may be useful: https://datamonkeysite.com/2017/03/11/using-powerquery-to-read-an-xer-file/

    Hi Ryan !

    Most of the people are using import data methodology to connect to Primavera with Power BI. Please vote for an idea here;

    https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums/265200-power-bi-ideas/suggestions/13732863-integrate-powerbi-into-primavera-p6

    Is it possible to directly connect to Primavera SQL Database as entioned in below article;

    https://datamonkeysite.com/2019/07/05/connecting-powerbi-to-primavera-database-part-1/

    You also need to look into Custom connector for connecting Primavera or you can outsource this task to some 3rd party vendor to build Primavera custom connector.

    I know this is a  late post but I believe my response would be useful to P6 users on Oracle Hosting or OCI:

    Mustang Technologies developed an integration to Oracle Hosting/OCI called P6ETL™. P6ETL™ extracts the data from the Primavera P6 database using P6 Web Services and then P6ETL™ creates a reporting database (the P6ETL™ SQL Server database). Then users can connect Power BI to the P6ETL™ database and create Power BI reports. To learn more, go to www.p6etl.com

    However – if you just want to connect Power BI to the P6 DB, check out this LinkedIn Group: https://www.linkedin.com/groups/13914226/ I created a couple videos in the group to demonstrate how to create Power BI reports for P6.

    This is a reminder to all those P6 users that there are videos showing how to connect to an on-premise Primavera P6 Native DB at in the following LinkedIn group:

    https://www.linkedin.com/groups/13914226/

    And if you are on Oracle Hosting/OCI, Mustang developed a utility called P6ETL® that extracts the P6 and/or OPC data from Oracle via Web Services and then P6ETL® creates a reporting database (the P6ETL™ MSSQL database).  Using the P6ETL®  MSSQL database, users can create Power BI reports.

    We are holding webcasts on P6ETL®  in January 2023.  To learn more, go to www.p6etl.com
