  • 1.  Grand Total not showing correctly

    Hello, I am developing a Training Report to show different visuals for trainings, One of the visuals is to show the number of Training taken by each department,

    When I show the total number it's showing 213 training, However, when i convert it to a chart and add a department, the breakdown of departments shows a different total number of trainings.

    I have 3 Tables in the Model, 1 For Employee Information, 1 for training, and 1 for Training taken by Employees, linking them with the Training ID and Employee ID.

    Can you advise why the breakdown is showing a different number than the total? i have tried to use a measure to distinct the count but still the same issue. i tried looking online but can't figure it out or if there is an issue in my model and relationship

    Hi Osama,

    When I have a problem with totals/sums usually it's problem with filters/context filters.
    Or with relations.

    To get the correct total you may have to create a measure with SUMX function, see repro below:
