Basic Power BI Help

I have this very small table in Excel, it is displayed as below

    Week | 7th July | 16th July | 21st July | 28th July | ......................... | 15th Sept |
    BU     |  18         | 19           | 34           | 45            |  ........................ | 189
    Target|  20         | 20           | 30           | 50            | .......................   | 200

I want to visualise this data in power bi. I have imported the table in as it is displayed in Excel

Something tells me i need to change the formatting, like unpivot the tables, as having the columns as dates not look right to me

I managed to unpivot the table so it looks like below

    Week | attribute | Value
    BU     | 7th July  | 18
    Taget | 7th July  | 20
    BU     | 16th July| 19
    Target| 16th July | 20

I created a Date table with a 1:M relationship from Date to attribute column.

I dragged the date column onto the Axis of a line chart and then dragged the Value - but it just shows a straight line.

I am expecting to see dates on the bottom , the Week (which i will rename) as the legend, then the value

Could someone please assist me?. maybe i have taken the wrong approach and should not unpivot. Any help will be welcome.

    Hi VS:

I hope this gets you started. You can see the steps in Power Query. You also are wise to mark your Data table as a Date table.
