Wow, this happened quickly, after all this time.
Just yesterday I went to Houston for their Power BI UG. One of the first items on the agenda (totally unrelated to my presence and request) was the resurrection of the Austin group. At least one of the people from IronEdge who presented at that meeting a year (or more?) ago was present.
There is a Hackathon coming up, but it seems like it's coming together very quickly - too soon for using the June 20 meeting to organize.
If someone wants to reach out to Glen Accardo, the leader of the Houston UG, it would be useful to get what information he has, and what contacts he has for coordinating with the other Texas groups to determine the state-level -thon.
I am absolutely interested in participating in a UG. Unfortunately, June 20 is in the middle of a period in which I am taking some vacation days (not sure which days exactly). I'll try to schedule things so that June 20 is a work day and I am free to attend the meeting. :)
Looking forward to this!

Good evening Austin!
HOWDY! Is anyone here interested in being included on the upcoming PUG Leadership meeting on 6/3 from 8:30 - 9:00 AM?
This is a recurring meeting to discuss what we have been doing, what is working and what is not. Current teams are represented among the Texas and Oklahoma Power BI groups, including Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, Oklahoma.
Let me know a good email and I will forward.
Onward!

Thanks for the responses from everyone. Looks like we have 5 people so far: Katie, Victoria, Sean, Matthew, and myself.
Do we want to try and pick day/time in June for our first meeting? After we lock down the date and time I can ensure the space gets reserved for us at the Microsoft store. I'm open during the week of June 17 and week of June 24 for first meeting. I'm flexible on the days and times, evenings after work are best for me but I will go with the majority on the meeting day/time.
I can setup an event for us using the Meetup site after we decide. This an example of what I see for Power BI Meetups in other locations: https://www.meetup.com/Hartford-Power-BI-User-Group/

I am interested in being part of the core group.
The only evening I cannot meet regularly is Tuesday evening.

Well I replied too soon.
Mike that is great news.
Sean and Mike, as mentioned in my previous post, I think we need a core group of people to get the user group restarted. I am willing to help and I assume each of you would also like to be in the core group.
Is there anyone else who would like to be included in the core group to work on the logistics of the meetings?
