Please join us on Thursday, September 24th via Microsoft Teams (see the link on the Registration page).

chriswagner.jpgOur featured presenter is Chris Wagner, founder of KratosBI.com "The Home of Data Gods".  Chris is currently working as an Analytics Architect at Rockwell Automation in Milwaukee.  He will be sharing his presentation "The Meyers Briggs Personality Types You Find In A Self Service BI Platform" with our group. Self service is nirvana for Power BI administrators.

Profile photo of Drew Poggemann, MCSE, MCSA, P-SSP ☁We will also have a couple of focused, shorter presentations. Drew Poggemann of Heartland Business Systems in Little Chute will set up the Center of Excellence Starter Kit from Microsoft (https://powerapps.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/introducing-the-powerapps-center-of-excellence-starter-kit/) and do a demo of the capabilities from a Power BI visualization aspect but also from the following:

    1. Core capabilities (DLP, Synchronization Flows, Permissions)
    2. Governance – Audit Process, App Archive, Connector Mgmt
    3. Themes
    4. Nurture (Onboard, train, app catalog, templates, campaigns)

Profile photo of Eric HylandEric Hyland of U. S. Venture will present on What is Power BI Incremental Load?  Eric will give a brief overview of Incremental load in the Power BI Service.  If you are not using it and you are doing import reports in Power BI its worth a look at especially if you have larger fact tables you are bringing into your model.  This feature has been available in Power BI Premium for some time and is a recommended best practice there.  It has recently come to the Power BI Pro license level.

Kelly Mroczenski of Nature's Way Brands will walk through their sales team reporting. She can't share the reports themselves, as they contain confidential data, but she will be sharing the setup. This will include the report architecture (dataflow/dataset setup) and the dynamic Row Level Security on the dataset to restrict sales reps to only seeing their assigned sales territory.

And Steve Erbach of GLC Minerals in Green Bay will present one of the latest features added to Power BI: Text/CSV by Example.

As usual, we'll also have an overview of the latest Custom Visuals, upcoming Power BI events around the country, and a Q&A session. Please make sure to click on the  RSVP  button over to the right side of the Registration page to help with our planning.  We look forward to seeing you at this Teams event!

    Sincerely,
