The responsibilities of being a Track Chair or Program Committee member, are crucial to the success of PUG events, and it is our incredible volunteers who are the true spirit behind the user group. Thank you for volunteer your time to help shape the content and bring users together. This event could not happen without your expertise and dedication to the community! 

Please read through the proposed responsibilities and review the tracks before filling out the application.

Responsibilities of Program Committees

  • Generate session ideas
  • Lead brainstorming sessions for session ideas
  • Review Session Ideas from Call from Proposal submissions
  • Solicit Feedback on Proposed session Topics
  • Review & Approve presenters for track sessions
  • Solicit presenter volunteers 
  • Review Presenter submissions including title, descriptions, objectives and drafts
  • Participate in bi-weekly Program Committee status calls

Data & BI Proposed Tracks: 


Focus: Building and Designing Dashboards and Reports

Use any data, from hundreds of sources to easily create compelling, interactive visualizations. Customize your visuals to fit your brand and your audience. Including storytelling with data to drive even more impact. This track will offer sessions at every level to help you get started, or continue extending your skills by creating and customizing.

Focus: Data Modeling

Every stunning visuals or valuable reports relies on good data which starts with importing, cleaning, transforming and modeling your data. This important step is where all good BI solutions start. Learn to take the hundreds of sources you need and how to properly prepare your data and uncover insights in the future.

Focus: Administration, Governance and Distribution

The era of digital transformations relies on getting data to the decision makers, making knowing how to accurately manage and securely share your data the key to empowering your business. In this track explore how to enable a mobile workforce, share content within your company, and learn best practices in advanced integration options, managing, configuring and securing your Business Intelligence investments.

Focus: Data Science and Custom Development

This track contains advanced developer topics such as developing custom visuals, REST APIs, embedding Power BI content, creating streaming datasets, creating custom connectors, open source data, incorporating R, M and much, much more!
