January 30, 2020 "Titletown, USA" Power BI User Group meeting coming up!

When:  Jan 30, 2020 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM (CT)

Our first Green Bay "Titletown, USA" Power BI User Group meeting of the New Year on January 30th, 2020

Please make time on Thursday, January 30th, 2020, from 2:00-5:00 for the first Power BI User Group meeting of the New Year! You may register on the right-hand side of this page! We will have:

  • Three speakers for this meeting!
    • Toastmaster Paul VanDyck of ProAmpac will present Power BI Data Flows - A Quick Data Warehouse Example.
    • Our host, John Kirsch of Wipfli, will show us how he put together an Accounts Receivable dashboard using Dynamics GP data (John is a CPA after all!).
    • Steve Erbach will show you how to use a SQL stored procedure with parameters in a Power BI report (Power BI Desktop). Normally we use SQL Views and subsequently filter what we want to analyze. Stored Procedures in SQL are used to apply additional business logic to the data while it's being extracted... a bit more than your basic ETL (Extract, Transform, and Load). There are just a couple key points to make it work and Steve will show them to you.
  • A look at the latest Power BI features (it changes every month!)
  • A look at the new custom visuals that have been added to the Microsoft AppSource since October.
  • Q&A session -- now's the time to bring your Power BI question and get it answered!
  • Networking and discussion
  • Refreshments!

Our time and date are set, and the meeting will once again be at the very fine Wipfli HQ in Green Bay at 469 Security Blvd. Just click on the gold  RSVP  button on this page so we know how many will be in attendance.

We'll see you there!
