With extraordinary creative vision and an educational background in civil engineering, I found my calling in the construction industry 9 years ago while at Turner Construction. After working as an Estimator for 2 years, I was then given a second role of MEP Coordinator using BIM. In 2008, I lead the very first [recorded] BIM MEP Coordination meeting in the state of Florida.
With my new-found experience in BIM, coupled with estimating experience and a strong interest in scheduling, I navigated uncharted territories and became almost obsessed with the potential that this new technology could take myself and the industry.
Soon after, I was hired as a consultant by Baker Concrete to create a model for the Marlins Ballpark and I partnered to create and visualize a 4D construction schedule. My non-stop hard work continued into projects such as the International Terminal at LAX ($1B). I served as the BIM manager for Walsh-Austin JV and scheduler for Hunt-Moss JV at the Marlins Ballpark ($.5B). By partaking in about 50 other jobs, I worked seamlessly alongside general contractor and subcontractors.
My highly-charged analytical mind and understanding of logic has allowed me to capitalize on building my projects virtually. I don't just see a project in my head; instead, I put it in a moving picture for all to see. This has been proven when I was hired by Americaribe (Bouygues) Moriarty JV to help develop the construction schedule and site logistics for Brickell CityCentre ($1B), then again by the same team 2 years later for a job of similar magnitude, and most recently in leading Baker Concrete's construction plan for SkyRise Miami.
